WHAT'S YOUR VIBE?

A lot of people don’t think about this, but it’s important. Some DJs mix too quickly and lose the crowd’s attention, while others play every song to the end, even if it’s not working, which kills the energy.

I focus on playing the right songs at the right time. I watch the crowd to see if they’re still enjoying the song and know when to switch it up. The sweet spot is usually 2-3 minutes per song to keep things fresh and the energy high.

HOW LONG DO YOU LET EACH SONG PLAY?

I make it a priority to regularly refresh my music library with the latest hits and timeless classics across a variety of genres. By staying in tune with current music trends, I ensure that every event I perform at is an exceptional, dynamic experience that resonates with your guests.

How do you keep your music library current?

No stress! If you’re not sure about the playlist, that’s exactly why I’m here. I’ve got the skills to read the room and pick songs that get everyone on their feet. I’ve got this covered - let me work my magic! ✨🎶🤗

What if I’m not sure about what music I want?

Yes, absolutely! I can play almost any music style. I'm not stuck on the usual, overplayed songs you hear at every event. I’ll create a playlist that fits your style and even add a few surprise tracks that match your taste, so it feels like I’m playing all your favorite songs.

I don't want stereotypical top 40 music, are you ok with that?

I’m happy to take song requests from guests, as they often add to the enjoyment of the event. I’ll do my best to accommodate these requests in a way that maintains the overall flow and feel of the music set.

How do you handle song requests from guests during the event?

I’m a music expert who can play anything depending on the vibe of your event. For most celebrations in Vancouver, popular recognizable Top 40 hits are usually what everyone loves. But for more niche events, parties and openings, I focus on underground genres like house and tech house.

I have a huge collection of music in almost every genre, and I’ve worked with many different cultural styles. If I’m not familiar with a specific type, I’ll let you know and ask for help. I always update my library to stay current and mix in classics when needed. Sometimes, I might not have a song, so having good WiFi helps me get any last-minute requests from guests if it's available at the time.

HOW MUCH DO MY WEDDING DJ PACKAGES COST?

The Classic Ballroom,
Banquet Hall Wedding Package

This is a wedding where the ceremony and reception take place at completely different addresses.

  • 2 DJ Setups: There are two separate setups: one for the ceremony and one for the reception. My team will prepare, setup and manage separate audio for each location.
  • Ceremony Venue: The ceremony could take place in an elegant location like a botanical garden, beachfront, church or hotel rooftop, etc.
  • Cocktail Hour: I won’t be DJing during this time as I’ll be traveling to the next location but surely there will be venue in-house music playing for guests as they arrive.
  • Somewhere Else Reception: After the ceremony, the guests drive to a another venue for dinner and dance celebration.  This is where my second DJ setup will already be ready before I arrive, so I can quickly soundcheck and just plug and play from there.

I'm available in two ways:

1️⃣ Either DJ plays between band sets or just for the after-party (for example: 11 PM – 2 AM) after the band and other earlier entertainment.



2️⃣ DJ plays for the ceremony and dance portion but takes a break during cocktail hour and dinner while other entertainment performs.
This covers having the DJ on standby all day to jump in when needed.
This also covers when something doesn't go as planned and DJ needs to jump in.

No audio setup is provided -hence "DJ only."  You must have a professional AV team like ProShow, Showkraft, Encore, Clark's AV or a venue with a built-in sound system approved by me ahead of time with a venue walkthrough (e.g., The Commodore Ballroom, Fraserview Banquet Hall). 

A professional AV team is essential because it’s not just about renting equipment from stores like Long & McQuade or relying on friends who are aren't certified sound technicians. 

Please note that these prices do not include additional costs like:

Travel: For example, flights, ferries, taxi boats, etc. If you're hosting your event 100km outside of Vancouver's city centre, travel costs will need to be factored in.

Accommodation: If your event requires an overnight stay for me and my team, we'll need our accommodations covered. For instance, if your wedding’s taking place in Pemberton, Whistler, Victoria or the Okanagan, we’ll require at least two nights in two separate rooms. For somewhere like Bowen Island, Sechelt, Sunshine Coast or similar, it would be a one-night stay, minimum.

Rush Fees:  If your event has a short setup time (less than 2 hours before guests arrive), this fee ensures we can get everything ready on time without compromising quality. It covers the extra time and resources needed to make sure your event runs smoothly, even with limited set up time.

That's my job!  I’ll start by asking about your music tastes - genres, artists, or just the vibe you want. I’ll also want to know about your guests -where they’re coming from, their ages, cultures, and whether they love to dance or need a little push. The more I know, the better I can connect with your crowd and keep the party going. From there, I’ll create a setlist that feels like you while making sure your guests have the best time.

What happens if something goes wrong, like technical issues or timing changes?

Choosing the right MC for your wedding is important because they set the mood and keep things flowing smoothly. They need to be confident, clear, and energetic to keep your guests engaged. If you’re thinking about having a friend or family member do it, ask yourself if they have the right energy for the role. If they’re shy or not great at speaking to a crowd, it could feel awkward.

If you're not sure, I can provide a professional MC who works well with me to keep the vibe consistent. It’s worth considering if your budget allows. 

WHAT IF WE HAVE OUR OWN MC(S)?

For your wedding, it’s important to know the difference between a DJ and an MC.  As your DJ, focusing on the music to keep the vibe just right demands a lot of my attention, with little talking.  An MC is someone confident who guides the guests, keeps the energy up, and shares stories.  It’s best if your MC is someone you know, because guests connect better with familiar faces. If your budget allows, I can bring in a professional MC to work with me, making everything flow smoothly and keeping guests engaged.  I also have MCs who speak Mandarin or Cantonese if needed.

What is your MC (Emcee) style?

I’m more than happy to make small announcements at your wedding, and I do it in a friendly, professional way -only when needed. I focus on you, not on myself, so the spotlight stays where it belongs -on your celebration. If you want extra fun, like games or activities to get people involved, it's best I provide an interactive host if your budget allows.

Will you also Emcee, Host and interact with our guests?

If I haven’t worked at your venue before, I’ll arrange a walkthrough to check the sound, space, and setup. I’ve played at many venues in Vancouver and Whistler, so I might already be familiar with yours. For venues under 100km from Vancouver's city centre, I’ll include a site visit at no extra cost once you’ve booked me.

If your venues over 100km from Vancouver's city centre, and you'd like a walkthrough before booking to get a finalized quote before confirming, a fee will apply to cover travel and time. This ensures everything runs smoothly and there are no surprises on the big day.

For example, if you're having your wedding at Phantom Creek and I haven’t worked there yet (I have) and you’re still waiting for a final quote before moving forward with my services, travel and accommodation costs for myself and my sound tech would be required from you. These would be provided to us to make sure we’re all on the same page with expectations for your wedding.

Are you willing to do a venue walk-through or site survey of OUR WEDDING VENUE prior to the event?

Having 1, 2, or 3 DJ setups depends on your venue’s layout. If there are walls, different floors, or long distances, setups might be separate or connected. I need a clear line of sight for key moments - like timing your walk down the aisle and Grand Entrance.
For example, at Sea to Sky Gondola, you can have your ceremony at Spirit Trail Lookout (1 setup), then cocktail hour at Diamond Head Deck and dinner in Diamond Head Room (can share 1 setup) would mean 2 setups total.  This ensures smooth music transitions and perfect timing.

1 DJ Setup → All music operates from a single location where I’m stationed. I can’t move, and everything (ceremony, dinner, dancing) relies on this one setup.
2 DJ Setups → Two separate areas need music, like an outdoor ceremony and an indoor ballroom. To operate music and time key moments perfectly, like your walk down the aisle, I need a clear line of sight.  A second setup ensures smooth transitions without delays. Music and mics are ready in both spots without moving equipment.
3 DJ Setups → Three distinct spaces need independent sound (e.g., ceremony outside, cocktail hour and reception in a different room, and an after-party on another floor). Each area has its own dedicated speakers and mixer to ensure smooth, uninterrupted audio.

I take the time to learn about you and your story, so the music at your wedding feels special and just right. Whether it's songs that mean something to you or tunes that match your vibe, I create a playlist that's just about the music you and your guests love.

How do you make sure the music fits our style and vibe?

I’m referring to the distance between different event spaces. For example, if your ceremony and reception are far apart, additional equipment or setup may be needed to ensure clear, uninterrupted sound. The farther the spaces are from each other, the more planning it takes to maintain seamless audio quality. If your venues are at different addresses, that’s important to know upfront so I can plan accordingly. I highly encourage you to share your full vision with me with full transparency - every detail helps create the best experience possible!

what do you mean by 'long distances'?

When I say “walls,” I mean physical barriers that block sound or visibility between event spaces. If music needs to be heard in another room, a separate or additional sound system is required since cables can’t be run indefinitely without losing audio quality. Walls also impact timing cues - like for your ceremony or grand entrance - where I need a clear line of sight to sync the music perfectly.  If I can't see you, when do I know when to hit 'play' on time?  We can avoid this barrier.

When event spaces are on separate floors or elevated areas. It’s not always a separate sound system, but it might be, depending on the venue. That’s why I need to know which rooms you’ll be using for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. This is all techy stuff you don’t need to worry about, but it’s important for me to understand the scope of resources and time required to deliver what you want and ensure everything runs smoothly.

WhAT do you mean by 'different floors?'

WhAT MAKES you worth your pricing different from other COMPETITORS?

Moving the setup during your event isn’t as easy as it sounds. Once everything’s in place - DJ booth, speakers, and subs - cables are carefully taped down to prevent tripping and keep things looking tidy. If we move the setup mid-event, we have to unplug everything, reroute the audio, and redo the cable work, which means the music stops. Your guests will notice the break in the music, and it can feel like things are being set up on the fly instead of a smooth, polished event.  I want to make it clear that this disruption is noticeable and impacts your guest experience.

why can't you move your setup during our event to make things easier?

At the time of booking, we lock in your guest count to ensure everything is planned accordingly. If your guest count decreases after booking, the original rate remains the same, as we’ve already scheduled and committed resources based on that number.

If your guest count increases, we’ll issue a separate invoice to accommodate the additional guests, ensuring we’re fully prepared to deliver the best experience for everyone.


for the 'chic & cozy affair package' what happens if my guest count changes from time of booking?

We personally don't care for the classic 'wedding dance songs' and we were clear about that at the beginning of booking with her and she knocked it out of the park! We love current hits, new hip hop, old school hip hop and she killed it!! So good! She took requests, played our favourite hits and song in between that we LOVED!!! Thanks Pri!!
